FAQ's

Who can register in the Gladstone Connects Supplier Platform?

Registered businesses regardless of their size looking to connect with other businesses can register into the platform, either in a buyer or supplier role. It is important to note that suppliers must be local to be accepted into the platform.

There is a restriction for Suppliers registering in the platform to be local. How do you define local?

We recognise as "Local Business" those making a significant contribution to the Gladstone region economy, by way of: 1) Having a physical presence in the Gladstone Local Government Area (LGA) and businesses or projects where the majority of the workforce resides within the Gladstone LGA; and 2) Businesses or contractors which are not owned locally but provide goods, services and/or labour that are primarily produced or supplied within the Gladstone LGA. For more information, visit the Queensland Local Content Leaders Network (QLCLN) “Defining Local Report”.

Is there any associated cost to participate in the platform?

As of December 2023, there is no cost to participate in the platform for any user. This will change in 2024 depending on factors yet to be defined, such as your GEA Membership Status and your categorisation as a buyer or supplier. Please contact us for more information.

I registered but I have not got access to the system yet. Is there anything else I should do?

Please check your inbox and your spam folder to make sure you have received an email from us requesting you to validate your email address.

Is there a user manual of the platform?

Yes, please click here to access the latest version of the user manual, which outlines the key functions for both buyers and suppliers and assists you in getting on board with the platform.
